Comprehensive health assessment of large-scale rooftop solar plants at Mahmood Textile & Mahmood Spinning Mills.

The Mahmood Group required a comprehensive health assessment of their large-scale rooftop solar plants (Mahmood Textile & Mahmood Spinning Mills). Manual inspections of thousands of panels (+10K) are time-consuming, hazardous for personnel, and often fail to identify internal cell defects or "hotspots" that are invisible to the naked eye but significantly reduce power yield.
Complete thermal anomaly detection across all solar assets, enabling a proactive maintenance approach to prevent potential component failure or fire risks.
Identified multiple high-priority issues including shadow loss, cell damage, and inverter room insulation leaks that were previously undetected.
Provided actionable data to facilitate warranty claims for manufacturing defects and proactive maintenance to prevent long-term hotspot degradation.
Global Air Drones (via Buraq Geo Services) integrated Matrice 350 RTK and Mavic 3T Enterprise drones equipped with high-resolution thermal sensors into the site operations.
By providing simultaneous IR and RGB high-resolution mapping, we enabled the client to localize specific defects down to the cell and diode level. This allowed the Mahmood Group to initiate targeted repairs and optimize cleaning routines, significantly improving the lifespan and energy yield of their solar assets.
